Time is ticking on, spring officially starts next week and before any Year 11’s know it, they’ll be sitting the last of their exams. For those still undecided on which college to go to and which course to study, Sparsholt College is holding an Open Day on Saturday 7th March, 10.00am to 3.00pm.
There has never been a greater choice of options for school leavers and with National Apprenticeship Week celebrated during the month of March, Sparsholt College is showcasing this training path during the Open Day.
Apprenticeships are ideal for those who would like to earn while they learn as they combine practical training in a job with study. Programmes are available across the Sparsholt curriculum from Agriculture Crop and Livestock Production through to Veterinary Nursing.
Alongside Apprenticeships Sparsholt College also offers a range of part and full time courses at Further, Higher and Masters levels. All courses are designed to lead to a career working on the land, the environment, in sustainable technologies, with animals and in sport.
Courses are available in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Management, Arboriculture and Forestry, Conservation Management, Equine Studies, Fishery Studies, Game and Wildlife, Horticulture and Garden Design, Motor Vehicle, Outdoor Education, Public Services, Sports, Photography and Veterinary Nursing.
Studying at Sparsholt College offers the perfect blend of hands-on training within superb industry-equivalent facilities, taught by real experts. This participative approach to learning is complemented by scientific training to ensure all students can not only do the job but have the technical know-how too.
