A Man for All Seasons (1966)

The Oscar-winning film was shot in Brockenhurst and Beaulieu. The Beaulieu River doubled as the Thames in London.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (2001)

Handyside Bridge, – a Victorian footbridge at London’s King’s Cross station that featured in the Harry Potter films has been reinstalled on the Watercress Line at Ropley station. In the film it was the place where Hagrid gives Harry his first Hogwarts Express ticket.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Captain America and The Avengers team visited Hawley Woods in 2014 to shoot scenes for the Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Children of Men (2006)

Filmed at Alresford station, Aldershot Military Barracks, Bourne Woods and Alice Holt Forest.

Die Another Day (2002)

Pierce Brosnan Bond film. Shot in part at RAF Odium, Hawley Woods in Farnborough (for the opening scenes) and Eelmoor tank driving range in Aldershot. The airborne shots were taken above the army base in Aldershot (doubling as North Korea).

Emma (1996)

Filming for Emma, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, took place at Stratfield Saye House

Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007)

Winchester Cathedral was a location in this film about a mature Queen Elizabeth

Eyes Wide Shut (1999)

Filmed in part at Highclere Castle, just a few miles over the border into Berkshire

Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)

The reception for wedding three in the BAFTA award winning romantic comedy was filmed in Rotherfield Park, near Alton.

Gladiator (2000)

Russell Crowe (Maximus) was filmed in Bourne Wood, part of Alice Holt Forest, for the opening sequence of the Oscar-winning movie

Inception (2010)

Saito’s helicopter touches down at Farnborough airport

Johnny English: Reborn (2011)

Hawley Woods were used for the cable car station scene

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

Opening scenes for the adventure film were shot at Pyestock. It was filmed through the night and involved helicopters, rain machines, and lightning simulators to mimic a thunderstorm

Les Misérables (2012)

Winchester became the double for 19th Century Paris. The Chantry at Winchester College and Portsmouth Naval Base were also used. Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman were both in the county for filming.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2015)

The period/horror genre mash-up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was shot at Basing House, Basingstoke. It was once a rival to Hampton Court Palace and today the ruins are Grade II listed.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)

Scenes were filmed at Fawley Power Station for the fifth Mission Impossible film. Tom Cruise stars.

Quantum of Solace (2008)

Daniel Craig, in his second Bond film, flies from Farnborough airport which doubled as an airport in Austria

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)

Filmed at Highclere Castle and the New Forest

Rush (2013)

The film centres around the fight for the 1976 F1 World Championship between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The BAFTA award winning film was partly filmed at Blackbushe Airport in Yateley

Sahara (2005)

Filmed at Hawley Lake and Pyestock National Gas Turbine Establishment (now known as Hartland Park), Fleet.

Skyfall (2012)

Farnborough Airport and Aldershot were both used as filming locations. It’s the 23rd Bond film and stars Daniel Craig.

Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)

Kristen Stewart shot scenes at Frensham Ponds near Farnham. The National Trust site was turned into a medieval village for the film.

Stardust (2007)

Scenes from this film starring Sienna Miller and Charlie Cox were filmed at Hawley.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Winter battle scenes from this blockbuster we’re filmed in Hawley Woods and Stratfield Saye.

The Cockleshell Heroes (1955)

The training camp scenes in the film were shot at Eastney Barracks in Southsea. Scenes were also filmed at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Fort Brockhurst Station

The Da Vinci Code (2006)

During the flashback scenes, Knights are pictured meeting with the Pope in the Vatican (actually Winchester Cathedral).

The Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

Tom Cruise shot scenes for his film The Edge of Tomorrow at Barton Stacey in Test Valley.

The Four Feathers (2002)

Filmed at Highclere Castle, just a few miles outside of Hampshire

The Monuments Men (2014)

Scenes from the World War II film about rescuing art masterpieces were filmed in Bramley Camp

The Riot Club (2014)

Scenes were shot in the Great Hall, Winchester and Winchester College

Tommy (1975)

The film adaptation of The Who’s rock opera was mostly filmed in Hampshire and Hayling Island. Fratton Station, Hilsea Lido and South Parade Pier in Southsea were all used.

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)

Pierce Brosnan stars as James Bond.HMS Dryad and HMS Westminster were filmed.

Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)

Gosport’s Cold War submarine HMS Alliance was used as a key location in this film

War Horse (2011)

Stephen Spielberg used the cavalry barracks at Stratfield Saye House to film the cavalry charge scene. The interior was also used.

World War Z (2013)

Part of this zombie apocalypse thriller starring Brad Pitt and Matthew Fox was filmed in Aldershot’s Military Barracks.
