Wildlife Weekend with Martin Hughes-Games

28 and 29 July 2018, at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.

Coming up during the summer holidays of 2018 is a special weekend event with wildlife TV presenter and naturalist Martin Hughes-Games. Martin is one of the UK’s most popular and respected naturalists and zoologists, best known as one of the presenters of the BBC’s successful live shows Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch, which he has co-hosted with Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan for the last nine years.

‘I’m looking forward to spending the weekend at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. They carry out vitally important research, and work to conserve birds of prey in this country and around the world, including raising awareness of the plight of Asian and African vultures, and I’m delighted to support them and join in their activities. ’ Martin Hughes-Games

Get to know Martin when he spends the weekend at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. He will be helping with the bird of prey displays, sharing his expertise and knowledge of these stunning birds, telling some real-life adventure stories of his experiences working with wildlife and on wildlife television, and signing copies of his book “A Wild Life”. During the two days there will also be plenty of opportunities to ask Martin any questions you may have.

As part of the day, Martin will assist with the magnificent Valley of the Eagles flying display where you will experience Hooded Vultures in close proximity as they fly low over your head, as well as witness the escapades of eagles, kites and owls. He will also be co-host for a special Woodland Owls flying display, and at the end of the day will join you in the hides to talk about the wildlife you may spot in the Trust’s stunning wildflower meadow.

Come along on Saturday or Sunday. It promises to be an inspiring weekend, cram packed with wildlife activities, stories, facts and fun and another bonus is – there is no extra charge for these days. Day-time admission prices apply.
