Winchester District Economic Conference 2016

Businesses of all sizes, from sole traders through to large companies, from across the Winchester District are invited to attend the Winchester District Economic Conference 2016 on Thursday 1 December at the Guildhall Winchester.

This important event, hosted by Winchester City Council with support from Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, will take place from 8am to 11:30am, and incorporates the Council’s annual business budget consultation event with a wider conference agenda. Delegates will not only receive an update on the Council’s major projects, but will also hear the Council’s strategy to support economic growth.

The event is also a chance to showcase the joined-up approach the Council is taking with its business customers across every business-facing team. Cllr Steve Miller, Portfolio Holder for Economy and Estates, said:

“This annual conference is a great opportunity for local businesses to find out about the Council’s plans as well as to network with like-minded professionals. They’ll also be able to brainstorm ideas with experts in business strategy and marketing.”

Workshop sessions will give delegates the opportunity to quiz experts on issues they are facing. The workshops will cover business planning, strategy and cash flow; digital technologies and communications; marketing and sales; and finding premises.

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is supporting the event, and Stewart Dunn, Chief Executive, added:

“Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and the Solent Growth Hub boasts a number of unique services as part of its membership that gives help and bespoke support and navigation services for both small and medium size business. We look forward to the Conference and welcoming both members and non members alike.”

The conference is free to attend, but places are limited and must be booked i
